Behavior Support

Behavior Support Services are here to help individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities build skills to navigate daily life more smoothly.

We work with adults and school-aged children who have intellectual or developmental disabilities - and the people who support them - to better understand behaviors and build practical, positive strategies for everyday living. We're not here to "fix" anyone - we're here to understand behavior, teach skills, reduce stress, and build plans that work in real life.

Behavior Support Services can include:

Behavior Assessment & Observation
During assessment and observation, our team works to understand what behaviors are getting in the way of an individual achieving their best quality of life, and the "why" behind these behaviors. We recognize that challenging behaviors are just one way of communicating needs, and we support individuals in feeling safe, confident, and understood, so they can build other ways of communicating.
Behavior Support Plan Development
Family, Staff, and Caregiver Training
Consultation
Behavior Support Services are available to individuals who:
  • Have either a Family Supports Waiver (FSW) or a Community Integration and Habilitation Waiver (CIH)
  • Have challenging behaviors that pose a danger to themselves or others
  • Are school-aged, adolescent, adult, or senior
